Después de hacer su primer concierto en Perth, Australia, Britney levantó la polémica por el uso del playback. Según la Web People, algunos fanáticos abandonaron el recinto (¿Quién se cree esto?) porque Britney no se comunicaba con el público y cantaba en playback. Agregan que la ministra de comercio del estado de New South Wales, Virginia Judge, está buscando medidas para no engañar a los fans cuando compren las entradas del show:
“Es una falta de Britney hacer playback. Es de mi deber hacer saber a los consumidores lo qué están comprando al pedir las entradas. Seamos claros, en vivo quiere decir en vivo. La idea del gobierno es que los materiales para promocionar las entradas de dichos conciertos contengan información acerca del mismo”
